BRIGHT FUTURES SCHOLARSHIPS
The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship is awarded to students who meet ALL eligibility criteria. Please note that in order to receive one of these scholarships, your student must meet ALL eligibility criteria prior to graduation.
- Florida Academic Scholars Award (FAS): Requires a 3.5 weighted academic GPA, 1270 SAT (Reading & Math) or 28 ACT and 100 community service hours.
- Florida Medallion Scholars Award (FMS): Requires a 3.0 weighted academic GPA, 980 SAT (Reading & Math) or 21 ACT and 75 community service hours
- Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award (FGS): Requires a 3.0 weighted GPA, a 3.5 GPA in an approved vocational program, 440 Reading & 440 Math SAT or 17Eng, 18Read, 19Math, ACT.

Please be reminded that in order to receive the Bright Futures Scholarship, an error-free FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be submitted before Bright Futures funds will be disbursed to the college/university your child will be attending in the Fall.
NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR BRIGHT FUTURES
ATTENTION SENIORS! You must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to receive the Bright Futures Scholarship. Please apply at: www.FAFSA.gov. In addition, Seniors are also required to perform community service (that is approved by the district) as follows:
Florida Medallion Scholars Award: 75 hours
Florida Gold Seal Award: 30 hours
